Phentermine is a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine.
Phentermine stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which
increases your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite.
Phentermine comes in 15 mg and 30 mg capsules produced by Eon Laboratories and
37.5 mg tablets produced by Purepac. Being generic, phentermine is typically
less expensive than its commercially available name brands Ionamin and Adipex-P,
but there are also slight differences. Phentermine is also known by Fastin,
Obenix, Obephen, Obermine, Obestin, Pro-Fast, Phentamine, Phentride, T-Diet,
and Zantryl. |
